ABOUT US

MAHDS is committed to the development of harness dog sports in the maritimes and is working with dedicated members throughout Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island to support the safe and positive practice of these sports for the betterment of the people and dogs who love them.  We provide support and guidance to affiliate clubs and event organizers and are a trustworthy source of information regarding harness dog sports in the maritimes. We are governed by the Canadian Association of Harness Dog Sports, and in turn affiliated with the International Federation of Sleddog Sports and the International Canicross Federation.

All MAHDS Members and MAHDS Member Clubs adhere to a Code of Conduct designed to uphold our core values for the safety, protection and inclusivity of all our members -- 2 and 4-legged.
